Latino Placemaking Series

Latinos are an important part of the Grand Rapids community, but we rarely see ourselves reflected in our elected officials. As such, it is critical to ensure that the people running for office have engaged with and learned from the Latinos they hope to represent. In 2017, we started holding candidate forums specific to Latinos, so that we all have the opportunity to ask questions and learn about the positions of those asking for our votes. The events are always livestreamed for anyone who is unable to attend in person, and interpretation services are available onsite.
