Denise Soler Cox is a social entrepreneur and filmmaker who produced Project Ñ, a documentary film exploring the idea that first-generation American born Latinos or ñs, share a distinct identity, shaped by their experience growing up between two cultures.

This can leave many ñs feeling like they don’t truly belong anywhere; but by driving awareness of this shared ñ experience, and giving it a name, Project ñ is transforming this source of alienation into a source of empowerment, belonging and cultural awakening.  At this year’s event, we honored two local Ñs, Ben Oliver and Steffanie Rosales, for their commitment to the Latino community in Grand Rapids.
